A Rotarian, Realtor and an IT expert by profession, initially migrated to Canada with his wife and two kids with a dream of not only being a part of this very diverse yet unified society but also to actively contribute to an environment conducive to equal opportunities and safety for one and all.
Zia hold an MBA in Technology Management and have over thirty years of experience in the corporate sector having served in prominent positions as manufacturing, marketing and Group IT head in the Plastic, Leather and Auto industry.
Zia have been associated with Toronto-Danforth community for the past 6 plus years.
A local volunteer and long time active advocate of the small business sector I believe that the small business sector is the prime contributor to the nation’s economy and a backbone of a thriving workforce.
Zia feel that there is a need for a strong representation in the Federal Government to ensure an active federal participation in affordable housing, community safety and transportation. Opportunities for all specially the youth, and Lowering the ever rising taxes.
I wish to be that representation and I wish to be the strong voice for my community. I feel I have the right skills for the post and I feel this is the way I can contribute to my community and
to my country. This is what has inspired me to run in this election.
I am not running for a position of power but for a position to empower. Our community needs a voice that is collective and diverse and a voice that will have the courage to express its issues.
My motto is to serve the community and serve before yourself.
Zia envision a strong and a safe community centered towards youth empowerment and education with a focus on easy access to employment opportunities, healthcare and aid for senior citizens.
He also believes in a fair and lawful immigration system for people in need.
He aims to work for lowering taxes for families and committed to resolving safety issues.
He intends to take formidable steps to alleviate poverty in the community.
Zia is a strong advocate of multiculturalism and believe in fairness and righteousness. He strongly believes in a society that promotes women’s rights and equal opportunities for all.
